Getting your web site started
Our most requested question. Unfortunatley the first task can be the most daunting, selecting a domain name. A domain name is the word or words most commonly followed by .com used to identify your web prescence on the internet. It seems as though nearly every word and even combination of waords have been taken. To search for a name choose a registrar (e.g. netsol.com or godaddy.com) and enter a name to see if its available or if there are some similar suggestions. If you can't find anything you like whois.net has a listing of available names that had been used in the past this can often getting you thinking along a different line. If you have to have a certain name you can try your luck bidding on a name at sites like afternic.com and snapnames.com.
